More specifically, during the last two months, we managed to deliver the following equipment to the General Hospital of Mytilene, to the five Health Centers of Lesvos and to the First Evaluation Outpatient Clinic of the Prefecture of the N. Aegean in Moria:
- A fetal cardiotocograph (CTG)
- Six wheelchairs
- Two electric breast pumps
- 2,000 FFP2 High Protection Masks (KN95)
- 50 MEDI-CLEAN surgical masks
- 5 full body protection gowns
- 5 Dräger X-pect closed type protection goggles
- 100 protection hats
- 100 Hartmann Peha surgical gloves
- 50 protection face shields
Moreover, for coping with the Covid-19 pandemic and the protection of public health, Lesvos Solidarity offered more than 30,000 washing masks to individuals, covering the refugee population on Lesvos and local people. Specifically, the following were given:
- 30,000 washable polypropylene masks
- 1,600 Bariera washable cotton masks
- 200 washable cotton masks Masks for Berlin
Recognizing the remarkable efforts of the medical and nursing staff, we are pleased to be able to continue to contribute to the difficult work that the island's health structures have borne in recent years.
We would like to express our gratitude to the supporters of Lesvos Solidarity who generously respond to the needs that arise on our island, and with their contribution have enabled us to make these donations: the long-time volunteer of Lesvos Solidarity, Dr. Kathrin Berg, the company Kern, Schindewolf, Skriver GbR, VEVOX, the organization Heimatstern eV, the Open Cooperation Network Makers for the Production of Medical Equipment and the initiative Masks for Berlin = Support for Lesbos.
We also thank the collaborating organizations for the distribution of the masks in Moria camp: Because We Carry, Asterias - Starfish, Kitrinos, Mare liberum and MSF.
Finally, we would like to inform people that Lesvos Solidarity distributes washable masks for free, which those interested can pick up from the Mosaik Support Center, at 9, Sapfous Srt in Mytilene.
